FANCY LOOKING AT YOUR COUNCIL’S BOOKS?

If you want to follow in the footsteps of Lambeth Peoples Audit and look at your council’s books, here are the official details for the five boroughs which sit in or around Crystal Palace:

BROMLEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015. The Council’s accounts are subject to external audit by Mr Philip Johnstone, Director, KPMG LLP (UK), 12th Floor, 15 Canada Square, London E14 5GL. Members of the public and local government electors have certain rights in the period 3rd July 2017 to 11th August 2017. These rights can be summarised as follows: (1) From 10am on 3rd July 2017 to 4pm 11th August 2017 any interested person may inspect the accounting records of the Council for the year ended 2016/17 and certain related documents (comprising books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts) at the address given below. They may also make copies of the accounts and documents. (2) From 10am on 3rd July 2017 to 4pm 11th August 2017 an local government elector for the area of the Council, or his/her representative of the elector, may ask the auditor questions about the 2016/17 accounts. Please contact the auditor at the address given above to make arrangements to ask any questions. (3) From 10.00 a.m. on 3 rd July 2017 until the conclusion of the audit process, a local government elector for the area of the Council, or his/her representative, may object to the Council’s accounts asking that the auditor issue a report in the public interest or apply for a declaration that an item in the accounts is contrary to law (under section 28 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014. Written notice of a proposed objection and the grounds on which it is made must be sent to the auditor at the address given above and copied to me at the address given below. Notice is hereby given under Regulation 15(2)(b) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 that from 21June to 2 August 2017between 9:30am – 4:00pm on weekdays any person may inspect, and make copies of the accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other related documents of the Council for the year ended 31st March 2017, as stipulated in Section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.The accounts and other documents will be available for inspection at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA by prior arrangement. i)             any item of account which is alleged to be contrary to law; and

This notice is given under Regulation 15(2)(b) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015.

Each year the London Borough of Lewisham accounts are audited and any person interested has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the accounts and all relevant documents, as stipulated in Section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.

For the year ended 31 March 2017 these documents will be available on application to: Core Accounting, 3rd floor, Laurence House, Catford, London SE6 4RU. The accounts will be available between 10am and 4pm weekdays from Wednesday 21 June 2017 to Tuesday 1 August 2017.

During this period, a local government elector for any area to which the accounts relate, or their representative, may question the auditor about the accounts, or make an objection to the accounts as set out in sections 26 and 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014. Any objection, and the grounds on which it is made, must be sent to the auditor in writing at the address below, with a copy to the London Borough of Lewisham at the address above. Any objection must state the grounds on which the objection is being made and particulars of:

SOUTHWARK BOROUGH COUNCIL AUDIT AND INSPECTION OF ACCOUNTS 2016/17 NOTICE OF THE DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF PERIOD FOR THE EXERCISE OF PUBLIC RIGHTS ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2017 The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Notice is hereby given that the accounts of Southwark Council, in respect of the financial year ended 31 March 2017, are available for public inspection as set out below: 1. Sections 26 and 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 provide for: • Any person interested has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the Accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts etc. relating to them. For the year ended 31 March 2017, these documents will be available on reasonable notice on application to the person in paragraph 2 below.
