POLICE HUNT MOTORCYCLIST FOLLOWING WESTOW STREET INCIDENT

Police are searching for a motor cyclist who rode off after an incident outside Sainsbury’s on Westow Street on Sunday afternoon.

Scotland Yard say: “Police were called at approximately 16:10hrs on Sunday, 8 October following reports of a motorcycle in collision with two pedestrians in Westow Street, SE19.

“The male motorcyclist made off from the scene following the collision.

“London Ambulance Service attended and treated two people for minor injuries.”

No arrests have been made and .enquiries continue to trace the motorcyclist involved, added a spokesperson.

Comments on social media include: “Was anyone else at the bus stop outside Sainsbury’s on Westow Street when a motorbike ploughed into pedestrians?

“Was shaken as it missed me by feet and hit several others. “Got on bus as had to be somewhere but hope those injured are ok and they caught the biker who took off.”

Another posted: “I saw a security guard talking to him then a couple minutes later saw him zooming down Gipsy Hill.”
