TWO TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER TRIANGLE SHOP FIRE
 
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a small shop on Westow Hill in Upper Norwood this morning (Wednesday).

The fire damaged around half of the shop – which is between Palace Kebab and the former Lloyds bank branch. Two men left the building before the brigade arrived. Both were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

The brigade was called at 0524 and the fire was under control at 0708. Crews from West Norwood, Woodside, Beckenham, Norbury and Forest Hill fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (Source: London Fire Brigade press release)
