Lambeth council have scrapped their tenants and leaseholders councils replacing them with a “Residents Assembly” where LAMBETH decide who represents tenants and leaseholders on new area boards;

Similar accusations surround a residents project group being set up on Central Hill estate with potential members apparently being hand-picked by Lambeth – who have banned private tenants from sitting on it;

Campaigners say Freedom of Information requests show Homes for Lambeth plans will mean just 16 extra social rent homes on Cressingham Gardens estate near Brockwell park – but Lambeth say different;

Similar situations will exist on both the Central Hill and Westbury estates; and

Lambeth council have also given themselves planning permission to turn a home on the Cressingham Gardens estate into an office – despite the council claiming almost 2,000 families are in temporary accommodation.
