Who’s your local NHS hero? – or heroine? That’s the question Croydon North MP Steve Reed is asking.
In a letter Mr Reed writes:
On the 5th of July this year, the NHS is 70 years old. What a perfect opportunity to celebrate one of the country’s best loved institutions that has transformed the health and wellbeing of the nation. None of this would be possible without the extraordinary dedication of NHS staff, as well as many charities, volunteers and communities who work tirelessly, every day, to support the service.
I think we should say thank you to our NHS staff. The NHS70 Awards are our chance to do that. I need your help to name an outstanding NHS worker for each of the ten categories covered in the awards.
There are so many excellent and innovative things happening locally in our NHS. Please send your nominations in to me before March 16th so we can recognise our local health care heroes. Information on the awards and how to nominate can be found at http://www.nhs70awards.co.uk.
