Fancy volunteering for the Crystal Palace Festival 2018?

The Festival say: “We guarantee our volunteers a fun and rewarding experience so do read on if that sounds interesting…Whether you would like to spend some time helping during festival week 11-17 June or would like a more responsible role that gives you experience for your CV, there are many ways of helping us deliver the biggest community arts and culture event in Crystal Palace.

Do you want to give something back to your community and be part of a big day out for your friends and neighbours?
Do you want to help provide a safe and friendly Festival?
Do you want to gain experience in event and / or stage management?
Do you want the challenge of a more responsible role?
Do you want to build a network of contacts for future employment opportunities?
Do you want to try something out that might take you in a new career direction?

Role descriptions and registration

There are many different volunteer roles at the Festival depending on what you would like to do and what kind of work experience you would like to get if that is important to you.

All we ask is that you give us a minimum of 6 hours of your time for a shift and also undertake some training with us to make sure you are all ready for your role. The amount of training will depend on the role and your responsibilities.

We will also bring you on a site walk to make sure you know where everything is and are happy and ready to go come Festival time!

CAPEL MANOR COLLEGE are looking for volunteers at CRYSTAL PALACE PARK FARM. Placements are one day a week for six months on either a Saturday or Sunday or during school holidays. Hours are 10 am to 4pm with one hour for lunch. All volunteers must have an up-to-date tetanus vaccination – and proof of it. They are also looking for volunteers for their open day 16th June from 10am to 3pm which coincides with Crystal Palace Festival.  It will be at the Farm but they will also have tutors available to answer questions at their stand in the Festival, near the steps down from the top site.
