Organic veg, fruit, meat, fish, eggs, milk, butter, vegan, smokery, bread, gluten free, pastries, olives,  store cupboard refills (herbs, tea, flours, rice, nuts, oils), eco cleaning refills, eco house supplies, salads, wraps, lunch, coffee and food bank collection.

Gluten free stall + the butcher & all the veg stalls are back. Haynes Lane off Westow Street SE19 10 am to 3 pm.

Lunches this week

Hot food – Lucknow 2 London  Nida says “We will be dishing up our much loved slow cooked mutton, it’s been on the stove for about 12 hours! Cooking up too our butter pulled chicken it’s getting as popular!! Also making spicy aubergine a favourite for the veggie lovers! Served with mum’s special lentils and rice.”

Lunch & deli – Comfort & Joy Hot tasty wraps, salads and those famous scotch eggs plus takeaways – curries, lasagne and more.  Great picnic food to take away.

Vegan – Benin Bronze  Setondji is making us “West African dumplings served with Benin-ese style rice, coconut and lime coleslaw with a choice of either peanut stewor black eye bean, spinach and 3 chilli stew. Also on offer is gluten-free plantain fritters with spirulina.  Fancy a sweet treat? – Try some dumplings with ginger and dark chocolate or cinnamon and toasted coconut OR steamed plantain cakes with dark chocolate, ginger and cashew nut! All 100% vegan and wholesome!”

Cake news

Gluten free – Owl Kitchen  Mel is making us “Sweet – carrot cake, brownies, lemon and raspberry sandwich, coffee and walnut cake, lemon polenta cake, raspberry frangipane.  Savoury – mini quiche, sausage rolls.  Vegan – peanut butter squares, banana courgette cake, date and orange loaf.”

Visiting food stalls

Olive oil – Elia Olive Oil  George says “We will be showcasing our new 2019 harvest Cretan EVOO on Saturday. See you then.”

Hot sauces – Chilli BrothersNathalie says “Chilli Brothers will bring our delicious artisan crafted chilli sauces & condiments. Hot or not too hot we have all taste for everyone. Come down have a try and warm your dinner.”

Vegan chocolate – Gemini Chocolates Single bean chocolates, made with coconut sugar.

Olives – Yellow Sunshine Marinated olives and garlic, plus turkish delight.

Smokery – London Smoke & Cure  Ross says “All produce is made and prepared in our new smokehouse just down the road in Streatham. Give me a call on 07837 838 241 for any questions or pre-orders. We’re always happy to talk produce and ideas, or just to have a general chat about life and all its wonder. Look forward to seeing you down there.”

Cheese & charcuterie – Capo Caccia Antonio says “This Sat it’s all about the cooking with our saffron and myrtle berries and leaves back in stock with a special deal for Crystal Palace customers.  🙂 Vegetarian sardinian parmesan, creamy truffle caciotta for a warm risotto and spicy salami for a juicy stew.”

Bread – Levain Bakery  Chris Masembe and his team at Levain Bakery have a simple philosophy; to make artisan breads to the highest possible standards. All breads are sourdoughs and are made using their own sourdough starter, a labour of love which they have kept going since they first started the bakery.  Find Orlo or Kuba on the bread stall in the courtyard.

Butter & other dairy – Hook & Son Organic dairy from farmer Steve’s closed herd on the Pevensey Levels. Please note, for the next couple of months, Hook will not be able to sell raw milk. Please click here for full details. We hope you join us in supporting the farm during this difficult time.

Local growing project –Patchwork Farm  Are you a grower or have a fruit tree in your garden?  Bring your gluts so they don’t get wasted.  Do you like local fruits and veg?  Come and see what’s on offer and pay what you want.  Reopening next Spring.

Eco products, artists & makers this week

Soaps and bath bombs – Echoes of Velvet  Jo says “Are you ready to grab 2019 with both hands? Great. Please wash them first – preferably with soap made from carefully selected ingredients. Check out the stall for ideas.”

Eco products – Roots & Cycles. Eco products, refills and recycled lights.  Roots and Cycles is now stocking handrolled incenseand 6% CBD oil from EatMoringa.

Original illustrations – Images Delmar  Dylan is away in January. Get in touch with him if you’d like a picture framed in the mean time.

Candles – Kairos Moon – Colourful aromatherapy candles in the walkthrough.

Local art & craft stall –Palace Makers – back in February.  Part of  Transition Town and open to Artists, designers, makers and craftspeople who live in the local and surrounding areas. Crystal Palace Transition Town information

The Foodbank – Details at  Total donated so far 1598kg.   We also collect donations for The Hygiene Bank. All donations of sanitary products, soap, shampoo, nappies and more are welcome.   Queen from The Hygiene Bank says “When people are in difficult situations and it’s between food and hygiene it’s the hygiene they drop.  No one should have to go without washing or sanitary products.”
