PARK TRUST WANTS YOUR VIEWS ON EVENTS

People are being asked what sort of events they would like to see staged in Crystal Palace park.

The invitation comes from Crystal Palace Park trust which expects to take on responsibility for events in the park from next year.

In a round-robin email the trust say:

CRYSTAL PALACE PARK TRUST: EVENTS POLICY, PUBLIC CONSULTATION

We are writing to ask for your views on Crystal Palace Park Trust’s draft events policy.

We’re aiming to restore Crystal Palace Park as a leading venue for events. We’ll deliver a varied programme for residents to enjoy and use the proceeds to improve the park, while making sure that the park remains a place for relaxation and recreation for local residents at all times.

Following finalisation and adoption of the policy, we intend to apply for a premises licence to help to realise the plans, at which point there will be a further opportunity for consultation.

We are now asking for feedback on our draft events policy. Please read the policy and let us know what you think by emailing contact@crystalpalacepark.org.uk. If you’re bursting with ideas for great events in this unique and historic park, if you have any questions about how this will work, or if you have concerns about the policy, we want to hear from you. We’ll read all the feedback we receive and use it to improve our plans.

We know there’s uncertainty about hosting events because of COVID-19, but we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to get started next year and build an exciting programme of events.

Please send your thoughts, comments and concerns to contact@crystalpalacepark.org.uk.

This consultation will remain open until 16th June 2020.

Kind regards

PHILIP KOLVIN QC
